Christmas the extended version

Miley with her Great Grandparents. We celebrated Christmas with the Vrieze side on Sunday there was over 50 people there this year and that's not all of us, so many great grandchildren running around. It is so nice to see everyone even if it is only once a year.

Colin got some tools and safety glasses for Christmas and Miley a baby and stroller. Guess who was playing with the tools and guess who was playing with the baby.

Christmas morning

The girls opening their stockings at 6:30 in the morning, like any other day Miley didn't want to sleep in, so Sammy had to get up as well. All Miley wanted from Santa was a candy cane and yogurt. She went straight for the candy cane and didn't even open the rest of her stocking. Do you think she will always be this low maintenance?

Santa brought Sammy a Wii

Santa brought Miley a kitchen and she loves it. Kevin stayed up till after midnight putting it together for Santa he loved it too.

Sammy got Miley a tiara, dress and boa to add to her princess collection. Sissy always get the best gifts. She also got her some cute pjs too.

Sam opening presents, this one from my mom and Greg. She is going to be going on a major shopping spree with all her gift cards and cash, which by the way doesn't bother her one bit she was born to shop.

Christmas Eve

Miley is ocd and needs every piece of paper off the box before opening the present.

Derek and Lesley opening presents. Derek is still like a kid we had to hurry up so he could open presents before church. He even opened one before Miley.

We went to my Dad and Kim's for Christmas Eve this year. We had dinner and opened presents, then we went to their church for the Christmas Eve celebration, Miley didn't do so well in church, but no one seemed to mind. She sang happy birthday when we lit the candles instead of silent night.

More winter fun

Kevin had to break down and shovel snow so he could make it to work.

Roxy wasn't a very good snow dog, I was trying to get her to pull me in the sled, she just looked at me like I was crazy.

Kendall is Aubrey big sister and their dad Micah is the one giving them the big push down the hill. It was a perfect hill for the little girls just enough for them to ride by themselves down.

Miley looked a little wind burnt after the first trip down the hill with dad.

Kevin got to work from home for a few days because of the snow, so we went to a big hill by our house to do some sledding before it got dark. Miley only lasted a few runs but it was fun.

Cabin Fever!

Miley didn't want to keep her gloves on we tried a couple different pairs. It wasn't until her hands were half frozen that she let me put the gloves on.

Miley and one of the new kids on the block Cameron. We were so happy to find out the new neighbors had a 2 year old girl too. It took Miley almost 20 minuets before she would even walk in the snow I think we traumatized her last year at GiGi's, but once she got used to it she didn't want to go inside.

I love the pretty view from the back porch when it snows. Kevin worked from home today and as you can see I didn't know what to do with myself. This was early in the day before ventured outside.

Miley and I were getting cabin fever from being stuck in the house for days, way too cold to be outside this week we had temps in the teens. So I had Aubrey come over and play for a bit and the girls played dress up, it was so cute!

Random December photos

Santa comes around every year on the fire truck and I'm beginning to think that is the only Santa Miley will take a picture with, after two failed attempts at the mall. Not a great picture it was really cold out, but we will take what we can get at this point.

The house all decked out for Christmas, with our smaller stars after the raccoon got our big ones. Kevin hates hanging lights but I make him and it looks so pretty when he is done. You can see some snow if you look close but Kevin still had to go to work the next day we were both hoping for a snow day! I guess you don't get those when you get older, no fare!

Grandpa Jack was in town again this December so we had to get a picture with all the Grand kids and Great Grand kids.

Ella's first Christmas this year so Auntie had to get her some presents, which she opened with Mommy.

Sammy all dressed up for her school dance, Kevin thought the dress was a little short so he gave her a little crap for it, she looked beautiful and had a pretty good time at the dance.

Colin had his first sleep over at our house and while I was giving Miley a bath he decided he wanted to take one too! They look like twins when they are wet and naked. They won't like us much when they are older for this picture. We will have to show their boyfriends and girlfriends.

Every once in a while I help out Kirsten and watch Corey while she's at work, Miley looks forward to having a playmate for the day.

We had Miley's 2 year pictures done with the same lady who took our family pics, I think she does a pretty good job at getting Miley to smile and she took some cute pictures. Miley lasted through 2 outfit changes and many background changes. We also took some pictures with my Mom the first round Miley was cooperating not so much at the end!
